Exclusive shopping at Wal-mart

Okay, so it’s not a secret that I’m a 28 year old successful businessman. I handle lucrative businesses and well—I’m a ladies man. Hey, I’m not bragging here. I just say it as it is. So what is a guy like me doing in a place like Wal-mart? Well my friend here’s the deal. I AM successful and I get all the action I need but a guy’s got to be thrifty you know? You see, I’m saving up for this brand new shiny car that has been calling my name ever since I’ve felt its leather interiors a few months ago

So what is the deal with me shopping at Wal-mart you ask? You know, even with all this accomplishments and well---feats; I have a kind-of-secret-because-I-think-NO-I-believe-it’s-very-embarrassing collection. However, I am man enough to admit my hobby. So here goes. I collect action figures. Laugh all you want my friend, but this collection of mine will earn me millions in the future when my collectors’ edition “buddies” have lasted many generations.

Not only does Wal-mart give me great deals with my hobby; they also carry some of the limited edition Marvel action figures. Not only that, but these babies can’t be seen anywhere; they’re sold exclusively at Wal-Mart. For you to better understand; let me give you a brief run through with my exclusive collection.

A couple of months ago, a new Marvel movie came out. It was a sequel to one of the most well known characters before when I was still in middle school. You all probably know what I’m talking about, well if you don’t, it’s Rise of the Silver Surfer. I liked the movie; it’s one of those series I have anticipated to come out of the big screen. And surprise, surprise, it finally did. Now who can forget that man riding a silver surfboard, hovering above us while sucking our planet dry? I couldn’t. Silver surfer was one of the characters I really liked back then; he could fly, he can absorb energy and he can do a lot more.

A few weeks ago, I drove up to Wal-mart to pick up some stuff for my current lady friend. I told her I was going to prepare a real romantic dinner for us and I dropped by Wal-mart to pick up some goodies. I always check the toy department even when I’m in such a rush. I was walking towards the aisles when I saw it. There it was in all it’s boxed up glory. The Limited Edition Exclusive Silver Surfer action figure! I walked towards the box like a zombie bitten by a dog. (Weird thought I know.) I was in a trance; Silver Surfer has been a list in my collection ever since I can remember. And now it’s right in front of me. I reached for the box and handled it like a precious ming vase. I looked around and noticed it was the last piece. As I walked away, I heard a young boy cry out to his mother that there were no more Silver Surfer action figures left.

No… I didn’t turn around to give the figurine to the boy. I just wanted to gloat a little that I got the last one (I’m not being a jerk; I just wanted to write that down. Now bug off!). My latest added exclusive AND limited action figure is now sitting in my collection room waiting to be admired.
